Rumah Waqf was established on April 24 2009 and was legalized as a National Waqf Institution in 2010. Furthermore, in 2014, Rumah Waqf was registered as a Cash Waqf Management Institution whose permit was issued by the Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) as the regulator for waqf management in Indonesia.
